Curtis Jones confronted Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure for appearing to taunt the Liverpool supporters at the full-time whistle and the heated exchange caused a brawl between the two sets of players. Liverpool manager Arne Slot was also sent off by referee Michael Oliver, along with assistant coach Sipke Hulshoff. The two were furious about the decision to award Tarkowski’s goal, with Liverpool believing it should have been ruled out due to a shove in the build-up.
