A young woman recently experienced an 'embarrassing' encounter some have described as every wife's 'worst nightmare' in public - and she's not alone. The anonymous Aussie was out dancing with her husband - but when he went to the bathroom strangers raced up to her and asked if she was being harassed.
Comedians and former Triple J hosts Matt Okine and Alex Dyson shared the anecdote on their podcast All Day Breakfast. The hosts had gone out to dinner with the couple in question, who had then ventured elsewhere for a post-meal dance. 'This is how to ruin a stranger's night,' Matt said, adding that the pair dubbed the awkward run-in 'the worst thing that's happened'.
'The couple is at this pub, having a dance, the song finishes and [the husband] goes to the toilet. '[The wife] sits down and some girls come over to her and say "Hey, if you need saving from that guy, please let us know".'. The woman couldn't believe that a bunch of strangers assumed she was being harassed by her life partner whose only crime, perhaps, was a few over-enthused dance moves.
