A woman shared her shock after finding a hidden treasure inside her most recent antique furniture purchase – and she couldn't believe her luck. Texas-based shopper Amanda DeWitt made a TikTok video where she shared her most recent Facebook Marketplace purchase - a Louis XVI buffet cabinet.
Normally retailing for thousands of pounds, Amanda said she managed to get the antique piece of furniture for one ninth of what it's usually being sold for. "Obviously I bought it. I was finally able to get my hands on it this morning. It's in my house, she's absolutely stunning perfect," she said while showing off the cabinet.
She explained how, when they first got it into their home, she was opening up all of the different cabinets and drawers to make sure the condition is as good as she expected it to be. "Please look what I found when I unlocked on of the cabinets," she said excitingly before turning the camera over to the open cabinet which was filled with 13 bright orange Hermes boxes and one blue box from Tiffany's.
"So this is a full set of Hermes China," she explained as she took the boxes out of the cabinet. "You guys, a full set of China left in one of the cabinets of the buffet that I got on Facebook Marketplace. "Not to mention all of these plates are in perfect condition. I think there's 12 plates in total.".
