A woman has spilled the beans on a toe-curling moment when her elderly neighbour discovered something rather personal she'd left behind after offering to clean his house. Remaining unnamed, the woman shared that she regularly helps out with chores for the senior citizen, but was left blushing when he innocently questioned her about an item she’d unwittingly dropped.
Her cringe-worthy confession surfaced on the popular podcast LuAnna, hosted by Anna Williamson and Luisa Zissman, who were left in stitches by the awkward encounter. The snippet of hilarity made its way to their social media feed. "I help elderly neighbours with their cleaning and when I came to see them this week, the elderly gentleman said 'You left something here last week but I'm not sure where it's from'," narrated Anna. She added: "Going into the kitchen, I expected to find a cloth or a duster, but instead he handed me the plastic applicator from my tampon," eliciting a gasp from Luisa who exclaimed: "Oh god.".
Anna then painted the picture of the kind-hearted man holding up the tampon whereas Luisa commented: "The poor innocent old man.". A woman was left red-faced after a tampon applicator fell out of her rubbish bag, leading to an awkward encounter. She recounted the cringe-worthy moment, saying: "I quickly thanked him and tried to take it off him when he said 'I couldn't work it out. What's it from?" In a bid to save face, she fibbed to the man, telling him it was part of her child's toy collection: "It must have fallen out of my pocket.".
