Young Sheldon fans baffled as George Cooper brought back from the dead in new sequel

Young Sheldon fans have been left dumbfounded after pictures confirmed George Cooper returns from the dead in the new spin-off Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. Played by Lance Barber, the character was killed off in season seven of the CBS show after suffering a fatal heart attack.

But spoiler pictures ahead of episode 12 of George & Mandy's First Marriage have revealed that George is back. Fans have expressed their confusion over George's return, with many going on to speculate the capacity in which he appears. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one asked: 'Wait how is he still around?'.

'Did he fake his death just to get away from Sheldon?' another joked. A third quizzed: 'They rebooted him?'. Echoing a similar sentiment, a fourth said: 'HE LIVES?'. George Cooper returns from the dead in the new spin-off Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. The beloved character, played by Lance Barber, died off-screen following a heart attack.

'I feel like I'm missing a major plot point here,' wrote a fifth. Another exclaimed: 'THEY BROUGHT HIM BACK FROM THE DEAD!'. 'Oh nice, it's nice to see him again,' said a seventh. 'It's probably gonna be in dreams and/or flashbacks.'. Last month, however, George and Mandy co-creator Steve Holland revealed that George would visit his son (Montana Jordan) in a dream.

Speaking at a press conference, he said: 'George is thinking about his dad, and he's worried that his dad might be disappointed in him. 'When we were breaking this episode, it just seemed like a great opportunity to bring George back.'. George died off screen in the Young Sheldon episode titled A New Home and a Traditional Texas Torture.

His death had earlier been revealed on The Big Bang Theory, where the adult incarnation of his storyline son Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) had said he'd been 14 when his father had died. George and Mandy co-creator Steve Holland revealed that George would visit his son (Montana Jordan) in a dream.
