A woman has revealed the 'proper' way to use a popular coffee machine after admitting she had been making a big mistake when making her coffee. Taking to TikTok, social media creator brittmariebox, showed how many could be messing up one key part of their daily brew; the milk frothing.

Nespresso - one of go-to coffee brands in the UK - sell an apparatus that whisks and heats the dairy addition to your cup of Joe. Many opt for popular 'Aeroccino' model - but Britt recounted how you could take your lattes and cappuccinos to the next level.

Despite having owned the device for four years, Britt found herself messing up the technique and consistently ending up with a watery 'mess'. Taking to social media earlier this week, the creator racked up nearly 500,000 views and 500 comments on her video.

Beginning the clip, she said: 'If you want to feel better about yourself today, let me tell you something I've been doing wrong for four years that I've just discovered after I've spent £100 trying to correct it. 'This is the milk frother for a Nespresso machine,' she said, holding onto the recognisable black cylinder.

Taking to TikTok , a British social media creator who goes by the username brittmariebox, revealed the 'correct' way to use the popular machine. 'Now for the past four years, all the time I've been making my lattes in my Nespresso, I've been using oat milk and its always been fine.
