One of Chelsea’s summer signings has been told to leave Stamford Bridge as he’s being ‘wasted’ at the Premier League club. Chelsea continued their heavy spending last summer, bringing in Tosin Adarabioyo, Estevao Willian, Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Renato Veiga, Caleb Wiley, Filip Jorgensen, Aaron Anselmino, Pedro Neto, Joao Felix, Jadon Sancho and Mike Penders.

The likes of Adarabioyo, Neto and Sancho have enjoyed bright starts to their Chelsea careers but others – like Dewsbury-Hall – are struggling to make an impact. Dewsbury-Hall is yet to start a Premier League game for Chelsea since his £30m move from Leicester City last summer.

The 26-year-old was expected to thrive under Maresca – who he played under at the King Power Stadium – but his lack of minutes has led to speculation he could leave after just six months at the club. New West Ham boss Graham Potter is believed to be interested in signing Dewsbury-Hall and ex-Chelsea winger Pat Nevin insists he should be looking for a new club.

‘It’s a real shame to see what has happened to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and it’s quite strange,’ Nevin told Grosvenor Sport. ‘He is a quality player and hasn’t been able to show that. ‘The problem is that he cannot leave it too long sitting out of first-team football because it’s only a short career and it’s being wasted. I’d love to see him playing more often but who could be dropped at Chelsea?.
