A third AFL star has reportedly been 'caught up' in a late-night brawl on Boxing Day alongside a Richmond player and a Melbourne defender. The Herald Sun reported last week that Dion Prestia and Steven May were part of a group who were 'harassed and attacked' at around 2am last Thursday.
The incident is understood to have taken place near the Continental Hotel in Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula with two individuals subsequently being taken to hospital, having sustained non-life-threatening upper and lower-body injuries. Police are understood to be investigating the matter.
Sources close to The Herald Sun have claimed that the premiership-winning pair had been among the group and added that the altercation was initiated by other parties. 'Prestia saw it happening but in no way was he involved. They weren’t involved in any physical altercation,' a spokesperson from Prestia's team and Richmond said.

The Herald Sun has also added in a separate report released on Thursday that another AFL star is understood to have been 'in the vicinity' at the time the brawl took place.
The outlet did not reveal the identity of the third player but claimed that the footy star enjoys 'something of a public profile' before adding they 'might be be able to assist with inquiries'. There is no accusation that any of the players were involved in the physical affray.
