Two AFL stars have reportedly been caught up in a late-night altercation in Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula, that left two men needing hospital treatment. According to The Herald Sun, Steven May and Dion Prestia players were among a group who were 'harassed and attacked' at around 2am on Boxing Day.

The incident is understood to have taken place near the InterContinental Hotel. The report claims that an ambulance was called to Point Nepean Road and picked up an individual who is claimed to have sustained not life-threatening upper and lower-body injuries.

A second person was taken to hospital but it is not clear how the individual made their way there. Prestia and May are. The Mornington criminal investigation unit described the incident as an 'affray', with Victoria Police issuing a statement that read: 'No official complaint has been received at this time.'.

Dion Prestia (pictured) and Steven May are reported to have been involved in a late-night altercation on Boxing Day. Sources close to The Herald Sun stated that the premiership-winning pair had been among the group and claimed that the altercation had been started by other parties. Individuals close to both players also told the outlet that neither had been responsible for the injuries sustained by either of the individuals who were hospitalised.
