Adam Hunter: A third tragic death hits the AFL in just two days as footy great dies aged just 43 The AFL has been rocked by another tragedy with the shattering news that West Coast Eagles premiership winner Adam Hunter has died aged 43.
Hunter's death comes just a day after former Brisbane Lions star Troy Selwood - the brother of Cats champion Joel - was found dead in his Geelong home aged 40.
He played 151 games for the club in a career that lasted from 2000 to 2009, and played in the side that won the 2006 grand final, kicking the goal that won the match.
Hunter's body was found in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Bunbury, Western Australia, where he grew up and lived in retirement.
On Tuesday it was also revealed that Essendon's VFL coach Dale Tapping - who also worked with the Lions - had lost his battle with blood cancer.
