Alan expressed his heartfelt commitment: "As one man of soil to another, I'm determined to give Daniel and his family a garden to be proud of."
The team then tackled the challenge of transforming a large, neglected area overrun with weeds and patchy grass into an enchanting retreat featuring figure of eight paths, trees, shrubs, wildflowers, a garden room, and a dining space with a pergola, outdoor kitchen, and seating.
While planning the garden transformation, Alan reminded his team: "The other thing we must remember while we're doing this is that Daniel was a landscape gardener when he was diagnosed.".
In a particularly touching episode from June 2023, broadcast for the first time, Alan visited Nottinghamshire to meet 32-year-old Daniel Bradbury and his family, including two young children.
