Aldi customers have just days to snag £100 off their Christmas shop

Christmas is nearly here, which means it’s time to start preparing for the big festive food shop. And if Aldi is your go-to supermarket, you’ll want to keep hold of your receipt – as it could win you back your money. From Sunday, December 1 the German retailer began its Big Advent Giveaway, offering UK shoppers the opportunity to be paid back for the cost of their Christmas shopping.

Each day so far, one lucky customer was selected at random to receive a full refund on their groceries. But if you want to be in with a chance, you’ll have to act fast, because the promotion ends on Christmas Eve. To take part in the Big Advent Giveaway, send a picture of your receipt to aldicompetitions@citypress.co.uk and the supermarket will reimburse the value of the daily winner’s shop in Aldi vouchers up to the value of £100.

Richard Thornton, communications director at Aldi, said: ‘Our Big Advent Giveaway is our way of saying thank you to our loyal customers by helping to make the festive season even more special. ‘At Aldi, we are committed to offering the best value and quality, ensuring that everyone can enjoy a magical Christmas without breaking the bank.’.
This comes after Aldi was recently named Christmas Retailer of the Year by the Quality Food Awards, as well as Best Overall Grocer at the prestigious Good Housekeeping Institute Christmas Taste Test 2024. The annual Good Housekeeping taste test, which tests 730 products from more than 97 brands, also crowned Aldi’s mince pies, turkey and champagne as best-in-class in their categories.
