Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Radu Dragusin will miss Tottenham’s Premier League trip to Brentford on Sunday. The defender was brought on for the returning Micky van de Ven in a pre-planned substitution on Thursday night as Spurs beat Elfsborg 3-0 to seal a top eight spot in the Europa League. Still, such is the extent of the injury crisis at the club this season, Dragusin came off for Spurs not long after having made his introduction after appearing to jar his knee.

While Postecoglou is still unsure about the severity of Dragusin’s injury, the Romania international will not be involved on Sunday. “We let it settle down, obviously get some more information over the weekend,” he said. “Obviously not available for this weekend at the moment, so we'll just have to see the extent of it. Hard to tell, it's a knee, there's always a concern for a knee injury, so we just don't know the extent of it.”.

Djed Spence should return, however, while Sergio Reguilon has a chance to make the squad. Van de Ven is fit again and Postecoglou could soon welcome other key players back into his team. The Spurs boss confirmed all of Guglielmo Vicario, Brennan Johnson and Wilson Odobert could return within ten days, with Dominic Solanke and James Maddison slightly further behind. Cristian Romero is back in Tottenham training but is not expected be rushed back into action.
