Ange Postecoglou has provided an update on Dominic Solanke's condition following his recent injury. After picking up a knee issue in training Tottenham's £65million summer signing missed the club's defeat against Everton last weekend. The England international was also not included in the matchday squad as Spurs secured three points against Hoffenheim in the Europa League on Thursday.

Solanke's absence fuelled fears that he may be the latest casualty in what has already been an injury-stricken campaign for Postecoglou in his second season in north London. Speaking following Thursday's clash the Australian admitted he will be without the striker for the coming weeks.

He said: 'All the information now is that we're looking around the six-week mark.'. Dominic Solanke will be out for six weeks with a knee issue, Ange Postecoglou has confirmed. The news comes as the latest blow Tottenham boss, who has several top stars out injured.

Solanke has netted seven Premier League goals since joining Spurs from Bournemouth. The latest projections will see Solanke miss the club's final group stage game in Europe against Swedish side Elfsborg next week. Solanke will also be unavailable for selection as Spurs look to defend their one-goal lead in their EFL Cup semi-final second leg against Liverpool on February 6.

The news will come as a significant blow, with Spurs already without several key stars due to injury including Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero. Solanke is currently Spurs' second-highest scorer in his maiden campaign at the club.
