ANOTHER Yorkshire school has been plunged into lockdown just a day after a boy was stabbed to death on his way to lessons. Parents were warned that their children attending the academy in Doncaster were under a lockdown due to an alleged incident on Mere Lane. A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: "Today, Tuesday 4 February, at 2.53pm we responded to reports of a boy making threats towards students at Armthorpe Academy on Mere Lane in Doncaster.

"It is alleged that the boy, aged 13, was in possession of a sharp object. "Officers have attended and located the boy, and following a search no weapons were found. "No one was injured during the incident and our officers remain in the area. Enquiries are ongoing.". Parents have shared screenshots of the email they received from the school. It read: "Good afternoon. Due to an incident on Mere Lane we have had to put the school in lockdown.

"Students are safe in school and we will update you with any further information as soon as we can.". The report comes after a boy was stabbed to death at a nearby school in Sheffield. Harvey Willgoose, 15, was named locally as the teen who tragically died after the stabbing at All saints Catholic High School, in Sheffield, at 12.17pm on Monday. He was reportedly stabbed three times by another student as he made his way to lessons as pupils watched on in horror.
