Antonin Kinsky already making Tottenham history as Ange Postecoglou hails impact

Ange Postecoglou says Antonin Kinsky has already brought calm to the chaos at Tottenham. New signing Kinsky, 21, is the first Spurs goalkeeper since Freddy Hinton a century ago to begin with consecutive clean sheets. He dealt calmly with the physical, direct threat of non-League Tamworth in a difficult FA Cup third-round tie on Sunday, having also kept Liverpool at bay in the Carabao Cup a week ago.
And ahead of a collision with Arsenal’s set-piece specialists, Postecoglou believes the Czech has filled his team-mates with confidence - in both the stopper and themselves. “His ability to fit in really quickly has helped us enormously,” the Spurs boss said. “It does give some comfort to the players around him if they see he’s handling it well.
"It means they can then focus on their own job and be a lot more clear-headed. We knew every time Tamworth had a throw-in in our half it was going to come in the box and how we’d want to deal with it. “That’s great in theory but then you have to go do it. When he came out and dealt with the first two and caught them, the players around saw that he’s got this. If he didn’t and there was uncertainty it tends to filter through the whole team.”.
Postecoglou knows Arsenal ’s corner kicks will be “a different challenge” for Kinsky. But after proving he is technically capable of executing what Spurs want from a goalkeeper, the emphasis is on how he mentally deals with the intensity of a north London derby.
