Arsenal dropped crucial points in the Premier League title race after being pegged back to a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa in a thriller at the Emirates. Goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz put the hosts in control but Villa pulled back on level terms through Youri Tielemans and Ollie Watkins.
Mikel Arteta's side looked to have won it at the death but Mikel Merino's powerful strike deflected in off Havertz's arm, leading VAR to intervene and chalk off the goal. The result leaves Arsenal six points behind leaders Liverpool. More to follow.
