A sprawling country estate owned by Australian tennis ace John Alexander has finally gone under the hammer for over $7.5 million. Located in the Southern Highlands of NSW near Moss Vale, the 36-hectare property first hit the market in October 2023 with a price guide of $10million-$11million.
But the former Liberal MP and Seven sports commentator was forced to re-list it in March 2024 to find a buyer after slashing the price by $3.5million. No details of the sale have been disclosed, including the final price, reported The Wentworth Courier.
But an agent involved with the sale confirmed to the publication that Alexander settled the deal 'within' the revised price range of $7.5million and $8.25million. Alexander, 72, splashed out $4,845,000 on the working cattle spread and horse stud back in October 2017.

Until the sale, he had been renting out the spread to vacationers as an AirBnB for $2,000 per night for weekend getaways with a two-night minimum. Known as Iona Park, the property is situated amongst lush farmland 135kms from Sydney and boasts two clay tennis courts, 14 stables, and an arena and a covered round yard used for horse training.
