Another shared: "#barclays online systems in utter chaos, my January wages were paid in, then disappeared...after I paid off some bills so potentially now over my overdraft...that'll be fun fighting that I am SO glad I paid my tax bill on Wednesday and I sympathise with anyone paying it today.
If you incurred any extra costs or fees because of the outage - for example, because you were unable to make a payment on time - you should contact Barclays directly to explain your situation.
The bank has promised no customer will be “left out of pocket” if they incurred any late fees, after thousands of people were left unable to make and receive payments.
You can also log a complaint by speaking to Barclays in the “contact us” section of the Barclays app.
