A BARGAIN retailer has slashed the price of one of its Quality Street bars to just 59p ahead of Christmas. Home Bargains has dropped the cost of The Purple One 87g bar, making it the cheapest out of the major retailers. The next best options are Asda, Poundland and Morrisons who are selling the treat, which combines runny caramel and hazelnut pieces with milk chocolate, for £1.

Home Bargains isn't selling the chocolate bar on its website so you won't be able to buy it online. It appears the 59p price is only available at one specific branch in Milton Keynes too, according to the HotUKdeals website. If you don't live near there and want to get one of the bars for the bargain 59p price, it's worth calling your local branch to see if they've got any in stock.

You can find your nearest Home Bargains store by using the retailer's store locator tool on its website. Retailers often slash prices on their festive chocs ahead of Christmas, battling it out to offer the best savings to shoppers. Currently, Aldi is the cheapest place to get 600g tub of Quality Street where it costs £3.95.

The discounter dropped the cost of the tubs from £4.49 last week, but you'll have to be quick as the deal ends today. Meanwhile, you'll need to head to Co-op to get the cheapest tub of Celebrations. The retailer has slashed the price of the containers to £4 for members and £5.50 for non-members.
