After explaining that over the festive period there's going to be over 270,000 tonnes of food waste, Nina began chatting to a store worker about their Too Good To Go scheme, which is a service with a mobile application that connects customers to restaurants and stores that have surplus unsold food.
Sally and Jon went back to Nina about an hour later and the broadcaster managed to get through her segment without any technical issues.
During a segment on food waste, they went live to reporter Nina Warhurst who was in a supermarket Garstang, Lancashire to find out how leftover items can be reduced.
The issue occurred just 24 hours after Nina had to quickly intervene when her colleague, reporting live on air, was hit by a coughing fit.
