BBC Call the Midwife Trixie debuts new look as she takes on different role Call the Midwife has shared a preview of Sunday night’s episode as BBC viewers are set to see Trixie Aylward (played by Helen George) fight to save Nonnatus House.
Detailing her character’s role in the plot, Helen George added: “She’s very much taken under Sister Julienne’s wing in order to fight for the survival of Nonnatus House, and she fights, as ever, pretty hard.”.
In the clip, Trixie is seen having a serious conversation with Sister Julienne (Jenny Agutter), who declares the Board of Health has declared war on Nonnatus House.
Actress Jenny has spoken about the unfolding storyline, admitting Sister Julienne is pleased to have Trixie around as she puts her forward to speak to the council.
Elsewhere, Trixie is seen telling Sister Julienne that the council are using her so that they can save money.
