Scottish comic Rachel Jackson broke her silence after an old altercation with the police at an American airport went viral. The BBC star, 37, hit headlines in recent days after she was seen on body cam footage at Tennessee's Nashville airport in August 2023, having a tense altercation with officers ensued before her eventual arrest. It all began when staff at the Delta Airlines lounge called the police after Rachel, who had a British Airways ticket, walked into the lounge without a pass.
When police arrived, she refused to leave and was eventually arrested after having a tense altercation with officers. She asked to be left alone, but when officers tried to defuse the situation, she answered: "Get your hands off me!" When police told her to stop and listen to him, she said: "No, I'm not." The police officer then told her she had been denied boarding from her flight, which seemingly angered her even more. The comedian said: "By the captain, and I listen to captain's orders – 'cause I've seen Titanic, I've seen Titanic. I am White Lotus, I am Titanic.".
She was soon handcuffed, which resulted in her screaming for help from passerbys. She also refused to get into the police car and insisted her wrists were in pain from the handcuffs. Although the incident is almost two years old, it was only recently shared on YouTube channel Body Cam Edition and gained over a million views.
Rachel's Instagram account is currently private but on the Pure Leo comedy page, she was tagged as they teased a new show called American Horror Story. The comedy festival show's synopsis read: "American Horror Story (WIP) is all about the time award winning Scottish comedian Rachel Jackson moved to Tennessee for love but instead lost her mind.".
