Bella Hadid was the latest celebrity to share the devastating impact of the wildfires that are still raging through California. The 28-year-old model shared a shocking photograph of her mum Yolanda Hadid's former home - where Bella lived as a child - engulfed in flames, with the caption "Childhood bedroom", followed by a sad face emoji.
Bella and her sister Gigi were raised in the Malibu mansion as youngsters, and the home frequently appeared on TV screens when Yolanda was part of the line-up on Real Housewives of Beverley Hills reality show. A second snap shared by Vogue covermodel Bella showed the home in daylight, looking like little more than ash and rubble, with the foundations and wooden frame only just visible.
The Malibu mansion was once the home of Kylie Jenner, who reportedly paid just under $500,000 a month. The sprawling home was last up for sale in July last year for $35m, but is now just a shell. Yolanda, who turns 61 on January 11, bought the home to raise her family in 2007 and spent two years renovating it for herself and her now ex partner, David Foster.
When she was part of the Real Housewives franchise, the home featured in scenes with the likes of Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, and Brandi Glanville. As of last night (Thursday, January 9), Kim Kardashian's nearby $70m Malibu home was also at risk of being ravaged by the fires, which continue to burn in five areas of Los Angeles.
