Beth Cordingly makes Emmerdale return after break from Ruby child abuse storyline Emmerdale favourite Beth Cordingly has returned to filming following a break amid her character Ruby Fox-Miligan’s heartbreaking historic sexual abuse storyline.
The star, 48 – who joined the show last year – has been at the centre of several huge storylines, with it being confirmed at the end of last year that Ruby had been abused by her father Anthony (Nicholas Day).
Recent scenes have shown Ruby’s distress at the prospect of Anthony being the father to her daughter Steph (Georgia Jay), and not husband Caleb (William Ash).
Over Christmas, Beth took a break from the ITV soap to reunite with her real-life soap star partner Ian Kelsey in China.
One of his most memorable stories saw him engage in a steamy fling with the iconic and incomparable Kim Tate (Claire King), before going on to marry Kathy Bates (Malandra Burrows).
