Meanwhile, Fowler has been in great form for City, scoring two excellent goals in a loss to cross-town rivals United earlier this month.
The transfer marks the end of Kennedy's three-and-a-half year stint with the English club, where she made 64 appearances.
Kennedy took to social media to say farewell to the club, expressing gratitude for the friendships she had formed during her time there.
