‘Brave’ members of public detain suspect after knife attack A 47-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after being disarmed and detained by “brave” members of the public following an “horrific” knife attack on a woman in a Dover street.
A force spokesman said that the victim was treated in hospital but was later discharged and added that the suspect remained in custody for questioning.
The spokesman said: “A woman has been arrested for attempted murder following a knife assault in Dover.
“It is reported the victim, aged in her 50s, was attacked with a large kitchen knife as she was walking along Biggin Street.
The victim, aged in her 50s, was walking in Biggin Street in the Kent seaside town when the incident happened at 10.10pm on Friday January 18.
