Brentford set £40m Yoane Wissa asking price amid Tottenham links Brentford would want around £40million to sell Yoane Wissa before Monday’s transfer deadline, as they look to keep their prolific front-line intact.
Brentford boss Thomas Frank rubbished the idea that Wissa could be sold last week, replying “Good luck - that will not happen!” when asked about the prospect.
The third-placed club are ready to offer Wissa a hefty pay rise, but have so far not come close to meeting Brentford’s valuation.
Wissa has scored 11 goals in 20 Premier League games so far this season and continued a lethal partnership with Bryan Mbeumo, who has 14 in 23.
Wissa was the subject of a £22m bid from Nottingham Forest last week, which Brentford rejected out of hand.
