Micah Richards was the recipient of a hilarious gift from Stade Brestois - or Brest for short - during CBS Sports Golazo's Champions League show on Wednesday night. The pundit was handed a shirt that read 'Brest Lover' on the back, much to the amusement of the rest of the panel - Thierry Henry, Kate Scott and Jamie Carragher.
Henry's gift was void of any innuendo, simply reading his last name with his iconic No 14 on the back, while Carragher was entirely snubbed from any pleasantries by Brest. The competition debutants had to settle for a 2-0 defeat in their penultimate group stage game on Wednesday, but have already secured qualification to the Round of 16 playoff phase.
However, the focus of the evening for the pundits was the club's hilarious show of appreciation towards them, which included a written letter, addressed to the panel. It read: 'Dear friends of CBS, many thanks for your close attention to Brest's performances since the start of the Champions League.
Micah Richards received a shirt from Stade Brestois - Brest for short - that read 'Brest Lover'. Thierry Henry was also gifted a shirt, that read 'Henry', while Carragher was empty-handed. Richards donned the jersey for the rest of the broadcast, to the amusement of his co-pundits.
'We all enjoy watching your many laughs on the studio. So we've made a special shirt for Micah. We couldn't resist giving a Stade Brestois shirt to our own legend Thierry Henry, to whom we send our warmest greetings.'. Carragher chimed in and asked: 'Nothing for me Kate, no?'.
