The Brit Awards is gearing up for another unforgettable night, packed with show-stopping performances, emotional speeches, and, of course, some wild fashion moments. After much anticipation, organisers have finally unveiled the first wave of performers due to take the stage – and it's already shaping up to be a must-watch show. Leading the lineup is Jade Thirlwall, who will make her first-ever solo Brit Awards performance following the massive success of her debut solo era.
The Little Mix star is no stranger to the Brits, having performed multiple times with the group and winning Best Group in 2021. But this time, she’s stepping into the spotlight alone, and she couldn't be more excited following her two-nominations. "I’ve honestly manifested every day since the release of Angel of My Dreams to perform at the BRIT Awards," Jade shared. "I can’t wait to bring a huge, chaotic pop moment to the BRITs stage!".
Jade isn’t the only big name bringing the energy. She’ll be joined by international sensation Teddy Swims, indie stars The Last Dinner Party, genre-blending artist Shaboozey, and this year’s Rising Star winner, Myles Smith. Smith said: “Performing at the BRITs is such an incredible honour, and it feels surreal to even say it out loud. “To think I was sitting at home watching it last year, and now I’m performing the very next year… it’s just insane. Grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to step onto that stage.”.
Last year’s show saw unforgettable performances from Raye, Dua Lipa, and Kylie Minogue, who delivered a medley of her biggest hits. While Raye and Dua are both nominated again this year, they’re not yet on the performer lineup. But with more announcements to come, the 2025 Brit Awards is already shaping up to be an unmissable night. Charli XCX cemented her status as pop royalty, leading the pack at the 2025 Brit Awards with five nominations, while The Beatles are up for a prize for the first time since 1977.
The Von Dutch hitmaker’s critically acclaimed album Brat shook the charts, debuting at No. 2 before climbing to the top spot three months after its release. The infectious electronic-pop tracks on the album soared up the charts and inspired a trend, with fans embracing the “brat summer” cultural movement which promoted self-love, positive body image and sultry style choices. “Brat” was named the 2024 Collins Word Of The Year, redefined as “characterised by a confident, independent and hedonistic attitude”.
The album, which also earned her a Mercury Prize nod, has propelled Charli into five Brit categories: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Dance Act, Pop Act, and Song of the Year for her hit single Guess featuring Billie Eilish. Seven-time Brit winner Dua Lipa is not far behind with four nominations, while last year’s Rising Star recipients The Last Dinner Party and jazz ensemble Ezra Collective also earned four noms each. All three and Charli are up for Album of the Year alongside The Cure, who are nominated for three awards, making it one of the most hotly contested categories of the night.
