HELEN Flanagan has arrived at court after she was allegedly caught speeding twice in 17 days. The former Corrie star has blamed ex-footballer boyfriend Robbie Talbot for the alleged offences. Flanagan, 34, was caught speeding in her Audi Q7 on July 10 and July 26 in Liverpool, it is said.

She is appearing at Wirral Magistrates' Court today charged with failing to provide documents over the alleged speeding. Flanagan, who played Rosie Webster in the ITV soap, is facing a driving ban. The mum-of-three previously told JPs she was "too busy as a working single mum" to remember if she had read the court papers.

She also claimed boyfriend Robbie, who has played for Morecambe and Burton Albion, was driving at the time. Flanagan said: "I said to my boyfriend, you need to reply to this. "I was not driving the car at the time and I said you need to sort it. I was annoyed. It was not me who had the points.".

Robbie, 45, claimed he has evidence that he did respond to the letter but the court was told police have received no documentation. At a previous hearing, JP Derek Aspinwall told Flanagan: "I understand that you are a busy mother. I understand you might have mitigation that your boyfriend did it, but at the time you are facing six points on each offence, a total of 12 points.
