Celeb haunt Nobu Malibu miraculously survives LA fires as trolls claim firefighters were 'paid off'

Two high-profile celebrity-beloved venues avoided burning down during the intense Pacific Palisades fires this week. One is Nobu Malibu where Kim Kardashian and her family dine on high-priced Japanese food while taking in the beauty of the Pacific Ocean.
Sofia Vergara, Hailey Bieber, Leonardo DiCaprio and Gwyneth Paltrow have also been loyal fans. And another is Soho Little Beach House in Malibu, an exclusive club where stars such as Jennifer Aniston and Jim Carrey mingle with other A-listers as well as Hollywood movie executives.
Some people are wondering, however, how these two ritzy places managed to escape being reduced to ashes when less highbrow favorites such as Reel Inn and Gladstones perished. The haters even suggested behind-the-scenes payoffs made by the restaurateurs.
But there is an easy explanation. Nobu Malibu has survived the Pacific Palisades fires and many people want to know why. Trolls have suggested that the successful high-end eatery paid off firefighters. But the truth is that the establishment is farther north than the other places that perished. It is also west of PCH which helped.
Kim Kardashian, seen in August in NYC, is a frequent diner at Nobu Malibu. And there was a hint that the more tony places offered bribes to firefighters. 'Not to wish anything on anyone/thing…but, how the hell is Nobu Malibu still standing??? like out of all things down the PCH,' said one person on X formerly known as Twitter.
