Dame Prue Leith will be stepping down as a guest judge, which comes after the 84-year-old previously announced she would not feature in the specials due to the intense filming schedule – and will be replaced by her close friend Caroline Waldegrave OBE, the managing director of Leith's Schools of Food and Wine.

Waldergrave will stand alongside Paul Hollywood to observe the celebrity competitors battling it out for their chance to win Star Baker. Recipients of the coveted title will be announced in each episode by hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding, after celebrities' performances are given a rigorous evaluation.

Celebrity Bake Off will air in March, though Channel 4 has not yet confirmed a specific date the celebrity spin-off will land on our screens. During each show, in an effort to raise money for cancer research, four celebrities will compete against one another over the course of each week.
