The research by Casino found the northern English city is the most welcoming in the country with 6.3% of all reviews on the top pages of Tripadvisor mentioning that they were made to feel welcome.
One of the most famous of these is Hadrian's Wall, an ancient Roman fortification that has stood since AD 122 and runs across the north west of England.
The analysis focused on identifying each city’s top hotels, attractions, and restaurants, specifically finding reviews in which visitors mentioned feeling welcomed.
