Chilling moment killer son wheels trolley and spade towards house to bury mum in back garden

This is the chilling moment a son was caught wheeling a trolley and spade towards his house as he prepared to bury his mum's body in the back garden after murdering her. Sindeep Singh, 48, killed his 76-year-old mother Bhajan Kaur over a row about inheriting the family home in Leicester after his father died. Mrs Kaur had previously reported her son for his "controlling and coercive" behaviour, for which he was arrested for and on bail, a court heard.
But while under investigation, he brutally attacked his mum, leaving her with "significant injuries" to her head and face. Officers were called to the property in Bolsover Street by relatives on the evening of May 13, where they discovered the body of Mrs Kaur. They also found that the garden had been dug up creating a large hole and there was a smell of disinfectant in the house, which had recently been cleaned.
Witnesses told how Singh had left the property within minutes of the 999 call being made and was arrested in the area shortly after. He then lied to police, pretending he was someone else and claiming to have no knowledge of the incident. Bodycam footage captured the moment police confirmed Singh's identify after a photo was sent to an officer's mobile phone. After being told he was being arrested on suspicion of murder, he responded: "Murder? What for? Murder, mate?".
During the investigation by Leicestershire Police it was revealed that Mr Singh was under the impression that the family home was left to him by his late father. The property was at the centre of many arguments and concerns within the wider family, the court heard. Singh had been living in his car on the driveway of the home and on the day of the incident Mrs Kaur had let him in to the house.
