Christian Horner was honoured by Coventry City as he and Spice Girl wife Geri Halliwell watched the Sky Blues down Championship rivals Watford. Coventry secured their third league win on the spin on Saturday as a double from Victor Torp saw Frank Lampard get one over a Watford side led by his fellow former England midfielder Tom Cleverley. And one of their most famous fans was present at the CBS Arena to witness the victory.

Leamington Spa-born Red Bull boss Horner took advantage of a break in his schedule during Formula 1's off-season to watch his beloved Sky Blues in action. He and wife Geri were invited by club owner Doug King to watch the action from the directors' box.

Horner was happier with the result than his Hornets-supporting wife Geri, who was said to have taken her team's defeat "graciously". They also spent some time with Coventry manager Lampard and paid a visit to the dressing room to speak with several of the club's players.

While there, CBE Horner also received a special honour from the Coventry City Former Players' Association. In a post on its website, the CCFPA wrote: "The celebrity couple arrived early and met the Sky Blues gaffer, team members and our own CCFPA match-day hosts Sarah and Richard Morris and their daughter Gracie before being conducted up to meet CCFC owner and executive chairman Doug King in the directors' box to watch the game.
