If you’re a Coca-Cola fan, then you’ve likely tried many of the different flavours over the years – from cherry to lemon, and vanilla. But there’s one that many Brits have been desperate to see make a comeback ever since it was axed in 2007. Coca-Cola Lime, which combines the classic Coke flavour with lime juice, was first launched in 2005 and was available for two years, before disappearing from the shelves.

Fans have spent 17 years wishing it would make a return, and if you’re one of those who’ve missed it, you’re in luck as it’s been spotted in supermarket after all this time. An eight-pack of Coca-Cola Lime is currently being sold in Farmfoods and bottles of Coca-Cola Zero Lime are also available in Tesco.

On social media people have been rejoicing over the news, with some saying it’s their ‘favourite’ Coke flavour, and others admitting they’d ‘missed it’ and had been wishing it would come back. In response to a post by New Foods UK, Giz Goodwin proclaimed: ‘Thank you coke Santa.’ While Andrew Leng thought Lime Coke was ‘well better than normal Coca-Cola’.

Others wrote that they ‘needed’ to try it as soon as possible, however a few weren’t convinced by it, thinking it ‘sounded vile’. This isn’t the only discontinued flavour Coca-Cola has brought back in the UK of late, with Cinnamon Coke also making a comeback.
