NEW CCTV has been released of a mum who vanished six months ago as cops issue a fresh appeal. Charlene Hobbs was last seen at a property in Cardiff, at 6.07am on July 24, 2024. A photo was taken of the missing 36-year-old at an address in Broadway before she disappeared. Further mobile phone analysis indicated later that evening Charlene may have been texting and calling people known to her, to possibly meet up.

South Wales Police have now issued new CCTV footage which shows the mum in a Morrisons Local, Adamsdown, on July 23, 2024,. Charlene was last seen with her hair in a bun, was wearing a dark strapless top. She has a distinctive dragon tattoo on her back. Cops searching for Charlene combed several homes, cars, derelict buildings and patches of open land at the time of her disappearance. They also spoke to the missing person's friends and looked through CCTV footage of areas Charlene is "known to frequent".

One of the vehicles seized as part of the investigation into Charlene's disappearance was a Nissan Micra found in St Helen's Close, Abergavenny, on 29 October. The car was originally red and largely painted black, but was found burnt-out. Two men, aged 45 and 43, and a 38-year-old woman, were arrested in connection with the investigation, but were been released on bail pending further enquiries. A spokesman for the force said: "South Wales Police continues to act on the information received. Over a thousand hours of public and private CCTV is being reviewed following reports of possible sightings of Charlene.

"Officers have made enquiries at over 250 addresses and have searched derelict premises, vehicles, open land and waterways across south Wales, which will continue. "Statements have also been taken from over 50 people since the investigation began. "People living in the Splott and Roath areas of Cardiff have been asked to help the search by checking their outbuildings and empty properties where Charlene may have taken shelter.".

Charlene's family previously urged their loved one to come home. "Charlene, we are desperate to have you home," they said in a statement. "We have been out looking for you and will continue to do all we can to try to find you, and to understand what may have happened. "We would ask that any friends of Charlene’s or anyone who may know her, who may have any information about her disappearance to please come forward.".

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Powell, from South Wales Police, said: “We remain determined to find Charlene, with specialist teams of officers and staff dedicated to this investigation who are focused on finding Charlene and returning her to her family. “Charlene is a mother, a sister, a daughter, and a friend to many. Like us, they are all extremely concerned for her welfare and are desperate for answers.
