Team-mate Sherfane Rutherford, who hit a boundary off the last ball to secure a four-wicket victory for the Thunder, said he was "praying that they can come out soon and be back on the park".
Former Australian T20 international Sams came off as the worse of the two and was carried off the field on a stretcher.
A statement from the team said: "Both players are conscious and talking, demonstrating symptoms of concussion and have possible fractures.
The pair are thankfully both conscious and talking but have shown "concussion symptoms", according to their team Sydney Thunder.
