Demi Moore, Adrien Brody and Zoe Saldana were among the main winners at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards on Friday night. Surprisingly, even for director Sean Baker, his independent film Anora beat out massive blockbusters like Wicked, The Substance, Dune: Part Two, Emilia Pérez, and more for the biggest honour of the evening, Best Picture. While Wicked was shot on a reported $145million budget and Dune: Part Two on a reported $190million, Anora was made on just a fraction of it's most costly competitors at just $6million.

The ceremony, which was hosted by Chelsea Handler, finally took place at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, after it was pushed back to February due to the Los Angeles wildfires. As with any live show packed with A-list stars, there were some Hollywood surprises during the Critics Choice Awards and MailOnline have listed the biggest viral moments of the night.
