Crossbow killer Kyle Clifford’s older brother is also a murderer serving a life sentence for killing a teenager in a road rage attack. Bradley Clifford flew into a rage when a bottle with smashed on his “prized” Ford Mustang car, and launched into a pursuit of moped rider Jahshua Francis, 19, and his pillion passenger Soban Khan, 18.

After a 20-minute high-speed chase through the streets of Enfield, north London, Clifford rammed his car into the moped. Mr Francis miraculously survived after being thrown through the air, but Mr Khan was fatally injured. In his rage, Clifford continued the attack on the dying teenager, punching him nine times as he lay injured on the ground.

Prosecutor Aftab Jafferjee KC told an Old Bailey trial: “It was rapid, it was brutal and it was unrelenting. “He pursued the moped down a straight stretch of road at speed, not to apprehend the two people on it, but to mow them down for daring to damage his prized vehicle.”.

The court was told it followed an argument between Clifford and one of Mr Khan’s friends about his girlfriend. Clifford was found guilty by a jury of murdering Mr Khan and of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent on Mr Francis. He was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 23 years for the murder, which happened on August 2017.

The killer is now joined behind bars by his younger brother Kyle, a former soldier, who has pleaded guilty to a triple murder which shocked the nation. Kyle Clifford, 26, was armed with a crossbow and a knife when he attacked the family of BBC and Sky Sports Racing commentator John Hunt at their home in Bushey, Hertfordshire, last July.
