CYBERTRUCK bomber Matthew Livelsberger told his ex-girlfriend he felt like "Batman" in the rented Tesla he went on to blow up in Las Vegas. The 37-year-old was reportedly dumped by his wife just days before the deadly Trump hotel blast - as chilling footage has revealed the elite soldier's final movements before he shot himself in the head.
Surveillance video from a street in Nevada near to the iconic Las Vegas strip shows the Cybertruck waiting at traffic lights before making a right turn towards the famous hotel. Livelsberger drives past several other cars in the footage which is believed to have been taken just before 9am on New Year's Day.
A short time later he parked up directly outside the complex before his Tesla, which was filled with fuel canisters and firework mortars, detonated, cops said. He shot himself with a semi-automatic pistol before the blast, officials confirmed on Thursday.
Investigations are still ongoing into what may have led the esteemed and successful active soldier to take his own life. Officials are trying to piece together the days before the blast with it now being revealed he had split from his wife just six days before January 1, according to law enforcement sources.
The dad had allegedly been caught up in an argument with his partner over cheating claims, two sources familiar with the police investigation told The New York Post. The woman and Livelsberger shared an eight-month-old daughter, according to reports.
