James Jordan has been left grieving after the loss of a "great friend". The dancer, who found fame on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing took to social media to share the shattering news, before revealing that he and a group of friends had gathered, virtually, to celebrate the life of Andy. The former Dancing On Ice contestant said on Instagram: "On Saturday I lost a great friend He was a Legend in our dance world but more importantly a legend as a friend. I have many fond memories of my time spent with him and he touched the hearts of so many who knew him.

"Last night a group of us got together on a call from all over the world - Hong Kong, Australia, Ireland and England to raise a glass and swap stories. He will be missed by many but never forgotten RIP Andy." A later snap saw a group of James and his pals on a video call with one another as they held drinks up to honour their friend.

In the image, James could be seen in his home, while his friends gathered at their desks, with one also posing with a drink in bed as the seven men all came together during the heartbreaking time. James' emotional update comes just hours after he told the Mirror that a change on Dancing On Ice will "mix things up.".

He said: "I know that Dancing on Ice have got a new producer this year, who I've worked with before, and I know he's very good at what he does, so I would imagine he's got lots of things lined up to mix it up a bit." This series will see a number of new celebrities take to the ice rink in the hopes of skating their way to get their hands on the trophy. Ferne McCann, Mollie Pearce, Sir Steve Redgrave, Sam Aston, Charlie Brooks, Josh Jones, Anton Ferdinand, Chelsee Healey, Dan Edgar, Chris Taylor and Michaela Strachan make up this year's line-up.
