Paddy Power have got into the festive spirit with a generous pledge to one of the PDC World Championship's new fan-favourites. Rashad Sweeting won over the hearts of Alexandra Palace and beyond with his antics at the oche at a crucial point in his match against Jeffrey de Graaf in the first round of the competition.

Rather than go for a much easier - though far less fun - third dart having nailed two treble 20s, he went for the glory of a 180 and left himself a difficult double seven to check out. At this point, Sweeting was 1-0 up in the first-to-three tie, and could have given himself a massive platform to pull off a stunning result, but instead put the entertainment factor first and went for the money shot.

In his defence, he nailed the throw and sealed the 100th 180 of the 2024-25 PDC Darts Championship, adding another £1000 to The Bigger 180 Campaign pot. As a reward for his showmanship, Paddy Power have pledged to pay for his plane ticket back to the Bahamas, where he is based.

Rashad Sweeting could’ve played it sensible but he went for the 180 instead🎯So, as thanks for being a legend and triggering another £1,000 donation from us to @prostateuk, we’re making the one-off pledge to pay his travel costs to and from the Bahamas.Fair play Rashad. pic.twitter.com/QjDdzCfKQ8.

Rashad Sweeting earned himself a free ticket back to the Bahamas with his 180 at Ally Pally. The crowd were baying for a maximum even though it would leave him a much harder finish. But Sweeting obliged and went for the 180 much to the pleasure of the raucous crowd.
