David Jason in rare appearance amid health woes after Only Fools and Horses co-star death

Sir David Jason made a rare public appearance shortly after the passing of his Only Fools and Horses co-star, Diane Langton. Accompanied by his wife, Gill Hinchcliffe, and daughter, Sophie, the 84-year-old actor attended the at the Cirque du Soleil Corteo premiere at London's Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday. The TV icon adhered to the event's "harlequin" dress code by wearing a red and purple patterned jumper, red trousers, and matching shoes, complemented by a dark trench coat and a flat cap.
Actress Diane Langton, who passed away at the age of 77, portrayed June Snell, a former girlfriend of Jason's character, Del Boy Trotter, in the 1980s episodes Happy Returns and A Royal Flush of the beloved BBC sitcom. Her character was featured in a storyline as the mother of one of Rodney's former girlfriends, whom Del Boy initially suspects might be his daughter.
Diane was also known for her roles as Marlena 'Nana' McQueen in Hollyoaks and Bev Williams in EastEnders, as well as her performances in West End productions such as Chicago, Steaming, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats, Follies, Billy Elliot, and Mary Poppins. David joined a number of fellow stars at the event as Lady Anita Dobson, Oti Mabuse, Denise Van Outen, Duncan James, Anthony Costa, Matt Goss, Nicola Roberts, Dame Arlene Phillips, and Hayley Atwell were also seen at the Royal Albert Hall.
Back in November, Sir David expressed sadness about no longer being able to fly and having to give up his pilot's license. The comedy legend used to enjoy flying a Robinson R44 helicopter but has been forced to give up the keys to his personal flying device. Sir David - famous to millions for his iconic TV roles including Derek 'Del Boy' Trotter in Only Fools and Horses and DI Jack Frost in A Touch of Frost - got his license in 2005.
