The Irish actor’s performance in The Penguin was so good it landed him best performance by an actor in a limited series, anthology series, or a motion picture made for television and he used his acceptance speech to thank those who make everything work seamlessly.
Wrapping up his thank you’s, he suddenly had a realisation and said ‘Oh!’ before adding: ‘Craft service, our great dame, referring to the team who provide food and beverages to cast and crew. ‘No, no, Carolina, on those cold winter nights in New York when I was the only one overheating,’ Colin said. ‘She’d be there with a coconut water every half hour. Carolina, god bless you — she kept the whole crew going; she’s craft service.’.
His wasn’t the only heartwarming speech either as Demi Moore left fans and her own family in tears with an impassioned speech about worth as she won her first ever acting award at the Golden Globes. The 62-year-old actress finally won an acting prize after a career spanning four decades, and she was ‘in shock’ but ‘humbled and so grateful’ to beat the likes of Wicked star Cynthia Erivo and Challengers actress Zendaya for best actress in a motion picture musical or comedy for her role in horror The Substance.
