Cherry's series, which premiered in 2004, was a fictional show that depicted a group of housewives living in suburbia and their everyday lives, the first episode beginning with a mysterious suicide of their close friend.
While Desperate Housewives ended in 2012 after eight seasons, the Bravo reality series has taken on extreme popularity, expanding to over five cities in America.
'They didn't crib my name, to be fair to them,' Cherry said of The Real Housewives.
