YouTube star Channon Rose has fiercely defended Myka Stauffer for giving up her adopted son, claiming that she was doing the 'best for her him' by getting him rehoused. In 2020, parenting vlogger Myka and husband James made headlines across the world for giving up the four-year-old boy they adopted from China, nearly three years after welcoming him into their family.
HBO is now unpacking the shocking story in a three-part documentary titled, An Update on Our Family, which sees Channon, 39, appear as a contributor. Following the release of the show's first episode on January 15, Channon took to social media where she voiced support for Myka and implored viewers not to judge her so 'harshly.'.
Speaking in a series of videos uploaded to her Instagram story, she began: 'At the end of the day, we don't know the full story and she did that on purpose. 'She wanted to keep certain details private for the sake of her son.'. Channon continued: 'Being a vlogger myself and being very open and vulnerable, and oversharing online, I know what it's like to do and say certain things online that I know I'm going to be criticized for.
'I just feel like everybody has judged her so harshly while not knowing the full story. Myka Stauffer shocked the world in 2020 when she announced she had rehoused the son she adopted nearly three years after she had welcomed him into her family.
