The PGA Tour have called on President Donald Trump to help complete their peace deal with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF). After announcing a shock framework agreement back in June 2023, the PGA Tour has been locked in talks with PIF, with hopes of ending their ongoing dispute with LIV Golf. Just over 20 months on though, the two sides remain locked in negotiations having missed previous deadlines.

in the hopes of finally completing an agreement though, the PGA Tour have confirmed they discussed the issue with Trump in a meeting at the White House on Thursday,. In a joint statement from commissioner Jay Monahan, as well as Tiger Woods and Adam Scott, the Tour said: We know golf fans are eagerly anticipating a resolution to negotiations with the Public Investment Fund and want to thank President Trump for his interest and long-time support of the game of golf.

"We asked the President to get involved for the good of the game, the good of the country, and for all the countries involved. We are grateful that his leadership has brought us closer to a final deal, paving the way for reunification of men's professional golf." Monahan and Scott were present in the meeting alongside the President. Trump himself is a keen golf fan and player, and owns a number of courses around the world. Speaking prior to being elected in November, the 78-year-old claimed he could help sign off a peace deal between the two heavyweights of golf in just 15 minutes.

I think we have much bigger problems than that," Trump told the 'Let's Go!' podcast. "It would be nice if they could all play together. It's terrible when somebody's shut out of a major.". "It's terrible. But they're very happy with Saudi. They're over there and they're very happy about it. They really are. It's amazing... But I think it'll come together. Yeah, I could certainly help, but I could probably get it done. I would say it would take me the better part of 15 minutes to get that deal done.
