Donny Osmond to sing with AI version of himself for Las Vegas residency Singer Donny Osmond has revealed he will be sharing the stage with a version of himself from 1972 “thanks to some mind-blowing AI and CGI technology.”.
Osmond, 67, appeared alongside the CGI figure in an Instagram video, and said: “I have a new co-star at my Las Vegas residency and we are going to be making history together.
When the older Osmond asked, “What does it feel like to sing with yourself 50 years in the future?” the younger version said: “Well, it’s kind of like singing with my grandpa.”.
“Well, it’s happening, thanks to some mind-blowing AI and CGI technology, I’m going to be talking and singing with Donny Osmond, you know the one from 1972.”.
This is not the first CGI concert to have taken place, in 2022 the highly anticipated Abba Voyage concert opened in London featuring younger “Abba-tars” of the group performing songs from their back catalogue alongside a live 10-piece band.
